Our summer camps are standards-based and educationally fun for our students.  They are taught by certified Mariner Middle teachers and offered to students who will attend Mariner Middle School during the 2018-2019 school year.

All of our camps will run for two sessions: June 18-21 and June 25-28. Camp will be from 8:00-12:00. Our Culinary Camp will be limited to 25 students each session. Students will be dropped off and picked up in the front of the school. We will walk the students out to you. The first morning you will need to fill out an emergency card, but after that just drop off and go.

MMS has the right to refuse participation in the camps if your child does not follow school rules while at camp or has chosen not to follow the rules while a student during the school year.

Dress Code
Dress code for the camp is casual and students do not have to follow the regular school dress code. Shorts and t-shirts are suggested. Students who are participating in the volleyball, basketball and culinary camps must wear socks and sneakers. Students should be cool and comfortable as summers are hot, but may want a light jacket while inside the A/C.
Please send a snack and water, especially if your child is participating in the Volleyball or Basketball camps.

The online registration link is at the bottom of this page.

Art Around the World Camp

In Art Around the World students will have fun learning about and creating art.  You will “travel” through history and between many cultures to learn about art from different times and places.  To make the experience complete, you will have a blast creating your very own multicultural works of art.

Culinary Camp

In this fun four day series, kids will practice essential kitchen skills and master the fundamentals of cooking.  Young chefs will love working alongside classmates learning how to work safely in the kitchen while preparing healthy snacks as well as a complete meal.  Come hungry and ready to eat! Seats are limited for this camp.

Volleyball & Basketball Camp

Learn the fundamentals of volleyball in session one and basketball in session two.  Also learn about Growth Mindset and improving your performance. During this camp, you will learn about how the brain works and how you can accomplish goals you never thought possible.  You will put the research into practice through sports and track your progress over the week while reflecting on your goals and skills.

Robotics Engineering Camp

Imagine it, build it, and make it go! Combining the versatility of the LEGO building system, a powerful microcomputer brick, and intuitive drag-and-drop programming software, this camp will have students creating robots on the first day. Powered by LEGO MINDSTORMS Education EV# Base Set and Software, campers will explore the exciting world of robotics. Beginning through advanced levels are welcome.
